Mission: 360° exists to provide a safe space for youth, in community with one another, to build lasting friendships, explore the Christian faith, encounter God in new ways, and experience the living God in the world around us through heart, soul, mind and strength.
Vision: To see youth critically engage the Christian faith and experience God in deeper and more passionate ways with the hope of forming faithful disciples of Jesus Christ
Why 360°?
360° represents a circle, which is commonly associated with completeness, wholeness and perfection. When God created humankind, God created people in his image and blessed them. We believe in a God who is whole and complete, perfect unlike any other. Being created in God's image, we too are created complete and whole. However, our completeness and wholeness is finite because of our inability to always choose the way of God. Therefore, we are broken. We are not whole. We are not complete. We are not perfect. We are in need of a Savior. We are in need of Christ.
But it is not enough to simply profess faith in Christ. As part of our desire to be faithful Christians, we desire to live lives pleasing to God in the name of Christ. As Luke 10:27 says, we must love God and live lives pleasing to God with all parts of ourselves, not just some. We desire to be as complete and whole and perfect as we can by trying to follow the will of God as revealed through Christ, in the Scriptures, Christian tradition, and Christian practices. Our desire to be whole and complete again is not possible without God as our guide. Just as a 360° compass is used as a navigational tool to guide ships at sea or hikers in the wild, God is our guide for our life-long journey of discipleship as we seek to become whole and complete in God's eyes.
